TODAY’S VERSE: Matthew 2:16

Herod was furious on realising that he had been fooled by the wise men and in Bethlehem and its surrounding district he had all the male children killed who were two years old or less, reckoning by the date he had been careful to ask the wise men.

POCKET WORD

The mistake most leaders do is that very often they fail to realise that power is transient and only God who gives power is permanent. It is the failure to realise this fact that is making so many people to hold on to power even when they seem no longer relevant in the office.

Herod killed innocent children because he felt unsafe with the emergence of a new born King. Since he could not get hold of the King, he had to kill all those within that age grade. This evil act of Herod to get at the new born King, came too late and God made better plans to protect the infant Jesus. Herod planned evil but his plans came too late.

As you go out today just know that God got your back and any plot against you is rather coming too late…
