TODAY’S VERSE: Proverbs 27:6
Trustworthy are blows from a friend, deceitful are kisses from a foe
This Bible verse reminds of Judas one of the apostles of Jesus Christ. He was in charge of the common purse and used to help himself from there. This by implication entails that he grew in deceit. Greed made him to sell his master who called him and gave him all. The love of money made him to betray his master and to sell him. He betrayed his master with a kiss.
Today, friends who laugh with us, even know our plans like Judas betray us. Their kisses are not of love and affection but of betrayer. Their kisses are poisonous. Why these kisses are very dangerous is that they come from very close friends. I prefer you slap me in public than to give me that kiss of betrayer. Judas’ kiss appears good externally but behind it lies deceit, betrayer and death.
